Are Electronic Dictionaries Good? As the enthusiasm for learning English grows, more and more students like using electronic dictionaries. But are electronic dictionaries really good? I don’t think so.
Obviously, electronic dictionaries are more time-saving, which most accounts for its popularity. However, let’s look at the phenomenon in another way. As an electronic dictionary user, I’ve found that the biggest deficiency of electronic dictionaries is that they do not contain as much information as traditional dictionaries do. Instead the usage of the word, they only provide meaning, which means we hardly know the best position where it should be, especially when the word had various meanings.
In my opinion, I think a learner should have a good printed dictionary and treat the electronic dictionary as a makeshift. Only in this way can we improve a great deal in English study.
